Skills, support, and hope for youth in foster care.

Our mission is to give hope to youth in foster care by forming personal connections and an understanding that God has a plan and a purpose for their lives.

What We Do

At Waymark, we are focused on sharing the hope and love of Christ with youth in foster care while at the same time teaching critical life lessons and giving them the support necessary as they make the transition to adulthood.

Weekend and week-long camps focused on fun, creating positive memories, making connections, and instilling hope for a bright future! We offer three youth camps: Royal Family KIDS Camp (ages 6-12) and Royal Journey (ages 13-14) are week-long overnight camps.  Journey Weekends is a special program for teens in foster care.

Skills Training &
Service Opportunities

We offer a series of sessions where attendees learn about self-care, daily living, healthy relationships, communication, and financial management. Students are also connected with vocational and service opportunities through Job Fairs. We also provide trauma-informed training for parents and volunteers.

Doug & Jordan

Our mentorship program gives youth the one-on-one guidance and personal relationships critical in their journey towards fulfilling God’s purpose and plan for their life. Our special events include the Waymark Family Christmas, a trip to the North GA Fair, tubing, horseback riding, and much more!

Did you know?

  • 80% of prison inmates are former foster children.
  • 60-80% (depending on the city) of those involved in human trafficking are currently or once were part of the foster care system.
  • Less than 3% of youth who have aged out of foster care earn a college degree.
  • An estimated 71% of girls will become pregnant before the age of 21. 62% had been pregnant more than once.
  • 25% will become homeless their first year after aging out and 50% after 4 years.

Waymark works to solve some of the most urgent needs of youth in foster care. We provide the support, skills, and advocacy that these children need to feel safe and nurtured, and to help them throughout their time in state care and beyond.

We offer a foundation for a successful transition into adulthood with programming that instills hope through sharing the love of Christ, teaching character, team-building and life skills, as well as job skills like budgeting and interviewing. We also provide ways to support their communities through service projects.

The youth involved in our programming come from various county DFCS agencies, group homes, and foster agencies. There is no charge for kids to attend our activities.
