Xtreme Journey Overview

Teens and young adults (ages 14 to 26) in foster, adoptive, or relative placements are invited to Saturday events where they experience valuable training to assist as they prepare for adulthood and independence. Teens learn about self-care, daily living, career development, work and study techniques, and financial management. Foster parents and guardians are invited to join to better assist their teens during this critical time in their life. Waymark offers these trainings to ensure that the transition to adulthood is successful and seamless. Training sessions are also held in conjunction with our Community4Youth Compass Groups tailored to individual needs on an as-needed basis.  Students are also connected with vocational and service opportunities through Job Fairs. We also provide trauma-informed training for parents and volunteers.

These events provide unique opportunities for you to invest in Waymark. You can sponsor a teen for an entire year for $300! For more information regarding opportunities to get involved, email Tasha Whitener.

Xtreme Journey 2025 Dates TBA

We believe every youth has a purpose and that our community has a duty to listen and value them throughout their development and into adulthood.
